How do i get my 1994 gmc jimmy out of 4 wheel low by myself, it is stuck?

    ok in the 1994 do u have the original lever shifter to switch it to four wheel low or high.. or back to nuetral.. or do u have the button on four wheel drive.

    if you have the lever. shift it to nuetral. reverse then drive forward a few times.. going three feet at a shot won't cut it though.. with the Jimmy's they are very tempramental. so you need to go about 8 to 10 feet each time.

    Sometimes when 4 wheel drives are stuck in low range by putting the vehicle in reverse and jerking it some it will allow the transfer case to release and shif out of low range. It doesn't work all the time but sometimes it does. it might take several attempts.

    how do i find the specs for a 1994 gmc 4x4 2500 truck--to repair the four wheel drive. I can not get mine to engage--it just quick working. wanting to find a diagram on how to take it apart.
