  • I think TR could be making some strides.
  • They all did good things for America to help it become a Great Nation. Lincoln is my choice, since I have to pick 1.
  • Franklin Rosevelt
  • Teddy Roosevelt
  • Lets be real here. Kennedy was a horrible president. We can blame him for the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Bay of Pigs Invasion, and the Viet Nam War. NASA was started by Eisenhower, not Kennedy; and the Lunar landing and the start of the shuttle program were under Nixon. The only reason Kennedy gets credit for anything is cause Lee Harvey Oswald blew his head off. FDR spent the first eight years of his presidency failing to get us out of the depression, and then entered world war in 1941 after Pearl Harbor. Lincoln had the hardest presidency (prolly followed by FDR). But if you dont like the Patriot Act then I highly doubt Lincoln is your man. THe guy suspended the writ of Habeus Corpus. That leaves me with Reagan and TR. But to be honest I wouldn't take either of those, I would take the guy who opened relations with China, and was the first US president to visit the Soviet Union, and convinced them to sign the non-proliferation treaty. The man who started the EPA, and came up with the concept of universal healthcare, the guy who ended Viet Nam. The same president who swiftly ended the energy crisis in 1973 and intergrated our schools....Richard Nixon, with the exception of covering-up a break-in at the Watergate hotel, Nixon was the best president we ever had.
  • TR, and I suspect that history will look back and say GWB was a lot like him.
  • From that list? none - I want Jimmy Carter back.
  • Well, my young son and I are from Australia: We both agree to choose Lincoln.
  • Lincoln and Reagan are my top two choices. I think both were great for our country. If I had to pick between the two I would choose Lincoln first.
  • I would want Lincoln as President, Reagan as VP, and Teddy as Sec of State. Franklin Roosevelt...let him be the secretary of defense or something. Keep him away from the economic stuff! I'll let Kennedy be the Speaker of the House. He was actually fiscally conservative.
  • I view the issues as being slightly more multinational than national. Consequently, I have a preference for Reagan, FDR, and Kennedy. Of these three, I have a gut feeling that Reagan would be best for the current situation by a slim margin.
  • Lincoln
