Why is my hair turning red?? I have brown hair and in the last month have started getting red highlights(naturally). My boyfriend has red hair but obviously that isn't the cause. I am stumped!!

Have you changed your hair products any time recently? I had a detangling spray give my hair red highlights. Interesting, fairly attractive, but not expected.

If you've been spending a lot of time outside you may be developing natural highlights. Other than that, I don't know.

You could have a natural red undertone. It happens. My moms does that too.
