Can I get a discount if I purchase airline tickets in bulk?

    talk to a travel agent. I used to take groups of 50 to 100 to LA a couple times a year and always got a discount, but it was negotiated by the travel agent through the airline.

    Groups of passengers can sometime get a lower far based on what the airline has available, as long as they are all flying on the same date.

    as an individual I would say:
    1. Unless you are maybe buying from an agency and buying a lot of tickets at one time (not for the same dates of travel) and then they might give you the discount.

    2. you might be able to go direct to the airline and do the same thing. If you know that over the next year you are going between Miami and Chicago every week, you might find someone at the airlines who fly that route to authorize a bulk discount based on buying all the tickets at one time.

    Just a thought.
