Help answer this question below.

I am 16 & i met a 19 girl. we had fun & everything but when she found out my age she backed of a bit. she also mentioned if i was 17 something could have happened. so my question is What is the big difference between 16 and 17 & will she change opinion?

    Not a major difference. Found this a bit strange that another yr older. My niece has 18 years between her and her boyfriend, that is hard to cope with a man of 36 seeing a 18 year old, but they are very happy together. So age is obviously important to some and not others. Hope it works out for you.

    I don't know whether she will change her opinion or not...but 16 is underage and I'm sure she doesn't want to be charged with statutory rape.

    Have you forgotten that sixteen is a minor and nineteen is an adult?

    Maybe she has reconsidered, since she does not want to be charged with rape.

    It works both ways.

    I think some states have an exception to the statutory rape laws where if you are within a year on either side of 18, it isn't illegal.

    there isn't a big difference - but 17 is a bit closer to 18.
