Yes, many universities these days offer degrees that can be earned entirely online. Keep in mind that there will be some limitations on the subjects that are offered in such an environment. There are some degree programs that have requirements that just can't be met through online classes. An example of such a degree would be a B.S. in Geology. Geology requires that the student learn certain skills that can only be obtained by actually handling rocks and minerals and having someone present to point out the various characteristics to be looking at in each. It also requires the students to spend a certain amount of time out in the field looking at larger scale geologic structures. There is only so much that you can learn from the printed words and picture. There are some things that you just have to get out and see or do to understand. So, many universities do offer online degrees, but the subjects of the degree are necessarily limited by the requirements of the degree.

Yes you can receive an online degree from a traditional university but you will have to search it out which universities provide online courses. Every traditional university doesn't provide online classes to it's students, in this case you can try some accredited online universities which provide accredited online courses.
