    Most powerful how?

Most powerful in the knowledge of the mysteries of the universe?
    - Odin

Most powerful in love and beauty?
    - Frigga

Most powerful in combat against Giants?
    - Thor

Most power in combat for just causes?
    - Tyr

Most powerful in ability to create chaos?
    - Loki

    Most powerful in vision?
    - Heimdall

    Most powerful hunter?
    - Ullr

And so on. Unlike Monotheistic approaches to religion, polytheistic religions rarely had absolute power levels - it all depended on what you were talking about.

Ares was more powerful that Zeus, when it came to war, and Aphrodite was more powerful than Hera, when it came to love and sex. For example.

I'm pretty sure it's Odin, God of War. What I find most interesting about it is that it was believed that dying in battle allowed you to go to ultimate heaven. Knowing that, it's easy to see why the vikings were so adamant about pillaging and war.

All hail Thor as I answer this question 2 3/4ths hours past his day.
Let us pay homage to Freya the goddess of love and fertility.

I agree, each god is the most powerful when it comes to their domain. But if your talking about power as in war, I would say thor.

    G'day Doggie,

    Thank you for your question.

Odin. That is why he was the king. He was considered the wisest and had a spear that never missed which would be a handy thing to have.

Odin is the norse god of war amongst many other things. He is also considered to be the chief god(the man).Thor is the god of thunder.Son of Odin.(the man).Odin also had a spear that never missed.P.S. Odin kicked Thors ass to take over the leadership of the norse.

It would have to be Odin.

You don't get to be father of the deities and be weaker than them :)

I don't think you can really judge them by power(pantheons of gods are often vague when it comes to hierarchies of power), but Thor is definitely the most awesome, simply because he dressed up like Freyja one time and he was actually convincing for a while.
