  • I'm starting to think that you don't deserve it back.
  • I don't know about Michigan, but in most states you simply have to go to the DMV and take the test. Your license wasn't revoked for three years, it was simply revoked. In addition, you have been banned from getting a license for three years. Now that the ban has been lifted, you are in the same boat as all those kids looking to get their license for the first time.
  • I don't know about other places, but here you have to go to drunk driving school and pay a reinstatement fee. Call the DMV in your area and LEARN from your mistakes this time before you kill someone.
  • Only the court can grant you your drivers license, again. Do you still have outstanding traffic warrants or unpaid traffic citations? this will prevent the return of your drivers license. Check with the clerk at your local traffic violations bureau. The clerk will have your answer.
  • I don't think you should get it back.
  • PLEASE LOWER YOUR CAPS on your computer when asking and answering questions , Thank you
  • Got Cash? Being from GR I know that it's no longer up to the courts it's the Secretary for state that you have to dance for now. My dad had his licence revoked indefinitely before the Sec. Of State took charge - 28 years later he has his L's back. Cost him a few grand but it's his now fair and square. Michigan is so broke they will give you anything if you have the cash
  • i will till this if you got two dui's in 8 years you need to get an resent assesement done and learn all of the AA stuff, before you go for a hearing in front of sec. of state. then after all red tape and bunch of money you my get a restricted license, which means a breath innerlock installed in you car for one year min. and that's mandated by the state if you have 2 [duis] in 8 years. i know all of this because i'm in the same boat.it would'nt hurt to get a lawyer.
  • I`m in the same boat as you, But I`ve quit drinking for 8 years. I`ve had 2 dui`s and its been 9 years without my License. I suffer daily because of this. Its taken my freedom away from me. i went to the drivers burea yesterday . I have to do the interlock thing plus,aa 2 times a week for a year. Plus insure a veiccle ,plus pay all there fees. i did do a hearing in 2003. What a joke. That guy was a not so nice person. Scared me enough not to go back. i hired a lawyer to go with me,only to find out you don`t need one there!I can`t afford to do all they have asked. i asked if theres a statue to limitations on this mater ,she informed me that theres not! I know alot of people are driving without a license.
  • I strongly beleive after two dui's you should not be able to drive ever again in Michigan or any other state. You will eventually get behind that wheel and kill or injure a innocent person. Alcholicism is a disease and alcholics will lie about anything and deny that they need help and blame everyone and everything for there abuse. They can't be trusted.
  • If Grand Rapids cares about it's Citizens, then Hopefully you won't get it back. If you didn't learn after the first time you certainly won't after the second time
