Not really. It isn't helpful to confuse the change of state between solid and liquid with the distinction between matter and energy.

If you look at the mass of a proton, you find that most of the mass is due to the kinetic energy of the constituent quarks. So in fact, it may be that if you go down far enough, there is no such thing as matter ... it's all energy.

Energy is trapped in matter and temperature (frozen) would have little effect on the energy unless we are talking about an ice cube.

if matter is frozen it is frozen energy, the sub atomic particles are in a frozen state which does not allow them to move so they are in suspended animation until the structure changes.

Yes, matter is frozen energy. E=Mc2, remove the meaningless speed of light squared and it means matter and energy are one and the same. At the moment of the big bang, everything was energy, no matter. As the universe cooled, matter was able to form from cooling energy. Therefore, it is essentially "frozen" energy, or energy with very little "energy" in it. Essentially, there is no such thing as matter, only energy, since if the universe were to collapse on itself again, all matter would be converted back to energy again at super high temperatures in one massive black hole, and you would have a big bang situation again, all energy taking up no space.

Matter is a subset of energy.
Frozen is a state of matter.

Emotions are a subset of the human experience.
    Happiness is a state emotion.

To say matter is frozen energy is like saying emotions are happy human experiences...which would be flawed logic.

Einstein's famous equation relates energy and matter to exactly the same thing: E=MC^2

This equation says that a chunk of matter is strictly energy waiting to be released. It is a form of Ice Cube (so to speak) that once melted produces hundreds of thousands of times as much energy as anyone would have predicted (prior to Einstein).

    In this equation:
    E is energy
    M is mass
C is the speed of light

so the constant factor, C^2, is a huge number. It is a 9 followed by 16 0's (9e16) meters per second squared. Each neutron, electron, muon, tao particle, and so on is an enormous amount of energy frozen.

    It doesn't matter.

Certainly not. What you think of as matter is actually energy that moves so fast it seems to be solid. If you could focus your mind properly, you could actually walk through so called matter(like a wall), because you are mostly made up of fast moving energy also.
