It's very very possible. To say it isn't is untrue. There are tons of gluten-free products now. Go to Wal-Mart, even that place has them!
As celiac disease is a genetic disorder, I would say there is no cure. But it can be managed, but only with a gluten free diet. Unfortunately for most of us, we were diagnosed with IBS or some other disorder and now later in life find out it was celiac all along. Therefore, there is so much damage to our bodies to over come. I only found out I was celiac last year and am now 58 yrs old. I now maintain a strick gluten free diet and take the highest rated nutritionals on the market. You can find them at: www.bewellforlife.usana.com
My recovery time has been remarkable. Skin rashes disappearred in a months time and I no longer am worried about lupus, fibromyalgia, sjogren's syndron or many other disorders they were thinking I had. And my hair, which I had lost head to toe, started growing back 1 month after I went gluten free.
my mum is a celiac, im not sure if there is a cure, but there are a lot of foods that are gluten free nowadays such as the free-from range. Ask your doctor because there seem to be alot of new products on the market to help celiacs.
Type it into google? a lot of things come up there
