Overdressed. That way, at least I would be prepared for the unexpected.
-
I don't really care for parties so about 50 percent of the time I decline the invitation and don't have to worry about what I will look like.
-
Overdressed, that's usually a bit more explainable :)
-
Underdressed. I can't stand being boiled in clothing. It's not that fun when your sweating your butt of at a party. Being underdressed, you will most likely not be cold, unless that house does not have heating. Also, at most parties, many people have dresses and all with small straps etc.
-
Underdressed. I rarely overdress, that's why. The only occasion when I overdress is when I try to be silly at home ;)
-
I guess overdressed, because I could always remove a suit jacket and then I wouldn't look as overdressed. Can't really make an outfit that is underdressed look better.
-
Are we talking too much clothing as opposed to too little, or too formal as opposed to not formal enough? Either way, I'd go overdressed.
-
i always overdress, party or not.i have worn 16 pieces of garment at a time and yet i would feel cold.walking down the road during winter,i look a lot like the michelin man.
-
Overdressed.
-
I'm a laid-back, casual gal. I feel awkward either way, but I'd rather be a little over-dressed than under-dressed.
-
I generally just choose to be underdressed unless a dress code is being enforced.
-
Overdressed is for those stuffed-shirt affairs which I hate to attend. Underdressed affairs are what I like most. A few neighbors and friends at my house with a keg of beer and plenty of hot hors doeuvres. That will do it for me
-
I try to dress between the two so I do not look silly.
-
I'd rather be under-dressed, but that's just because I am a jeans & t-shirt kind of person.
-
I was always taught to go a bit overdressed. You can always downplay the outfit if need be, but it's hard to play it up if there's nothing to work with. :D
-
i suppose i'll go with overdressed. i'm usually the one that undresses at parties anyway, so it'd work out.
-
under dressed
-
I'm a blue jeans and button-down shirt guy as a rule, but in your scenario, I'd rather be overdressed. Look at all the compliments you get! :)
-
Underdressed.
-
Both are uncomfortable, but I'd rather err on the side of overdressed. I usually try to stick to basic black if I'm not certain of the attire. It can blend in in almost any setting, and looks dressier if need be.
-
Underdressed. I'd be embarassed and comfortable then embarassed and uncomfortable. It doesn't really matter to me anyway. The way I look at it is that at least I'm dressed and most of the time match. It could always be worse.
-
I would rather be overdressed because if I'm wearing some kind of suit, I could always take off the jacket and a tie if I had it. That way I could become casual.
-
Since I'm not really a dress-up kind of gal, I think I would be more comfortable underdressed, because it would more truly reflect my personality and taste. Those who know me would expect that of me, and those who don't would learn who I am. If I were overdressed I'd be very self-conscious, very uncomfortable and feel like a phony-baloney! :)
-
At a really good party... I'd be Undressed.
-
I like to start with plenty of clothes on... They remain intact as long as I am drinking beer. Shots can be problematic in that they dissolve clothing. I'll go with overdressed for either reason. If I am overdressed, I can always pull off the coat and tie for a more casual look.
-
Overdressed i don't wanna put people through so much suffering by being undressed lol
-
I wouldn't feel comfortable either way. I don't like to stand out in a crowd. I feel most comfortable when I can blend in.
-
Definitely underdressed! Underdressing can be construed as excentric, on the other hand overdressing comes off as either naive or plain uncultured.
-
Overdressed. I think it'd be easier to make that outfit more acceptable, as opposed to one which wasn't up to the event to begin with.
-
Overdressed. Because I could just take off some of my clothes if I had too.
-
under dressed,I feel best in comfortable clothes anyway,I am there for a party and to have a good time and meet new people, not a fashion show.
-
Under. Pair of Levis, a nice white tee shit and a good pair of boots and you can go anywhere.
-
Definitely overdressed...because when youre overdressed people around you just say, "hey, what's with the dress?" ...but when you're underdressed people look at you like you"re a schmuck.
-
id rather be naked.lmao
-
Overdressed. You can always pretend that you have somewhere important to go later on.... (That's also a bonus because people will be impressed when you 'decide' to stay at this party after all) ;)
-
I would rather be overdressed.
-
Overdressed would be a lot better than being naked cause at least you could take off the extra clothes.
-
I would like to be overdressed. I don't think being overdressed is a bad thing, I mean when was the last time somebody said, "What the crap is he doing in a suit?" Or a Tux even. Plus, I can just take off certain things, roll up my sleeves, and loosen my tie to "undress" myself a little;)
-
I would guess "underdressed." I don't really worry about whether my attire meets with anyone else's definition of appropriate, so if I had to choose, I'd go with the option that is more comfortable and costs less.
-
well, i was always the one to underdress, but my parents hated it, and told me, 'you can never overdress...' yada yada yada... but i still prefer underdress!
-
Underdressed. It's better to look comfortable with yourself than pretentious and uncomfortable, unless that's the way you really dress all the time. Either way the most important thing is to wear something which is flattering in color and cut. :)
-
Overdressed - then I can get underdressed PDQ!!
-
overdressed definitely...you don't want to show up looking like a scrub!
-
overdressed, because you can always dress less to meet the occasion. if you're underdressed, well, you're just kinda screwed.
-
I wear a dress and high heels everyday. I don't even own a pair of jeans. So I would probably like to be overdressed, since I am always overdressed anyway. I like to stand out as the most feminine one around.
-
I used to think it was always better to be overdresssed. But, if you're naked at a party, either things are going really well, or horribly wrong. Ah, Jager, my friend. The things you've helped me to do...
-
I think the "correct" answer is overdressed. Nobody will fault you for wearing a suit when everyone else is wearing khakis and sport jackets, the thinking goes. I prefer to underdress. It is more comfortable. And socially speaking, I think it makes a person look confident. Now, I don't mean sloppy. I mean wearing chinos, driving shoes, and a sweater over a buttondown shirt when everyone else is wearing suits, english spreads and ties. It shows that little bit of "I don't give a f___" that is just so necessary these days to get through daily life.
-
I'd rather not be dressed at all. Now that's a real party.
-
Overdressed

Overdressed. When I was in the Army at Fort Dix, my best friend was in the Air Force at McGuire Air Force Base (literally next door). I was discharged and moved to Riverside, California, where I was an older university student. My buddy had to go to nearby March Air Force Base (this was when it was still active duty). He invited us to a party... the last thing he told me was the party was formal. So my wife wore an evening gown, as did our two year old daughter, and I wore a tuxedo. When we got to the party, everyone was wearing business suits. "I thought you said this was formal!" My friend pointed to his suit... "This is formal!" "No, Norm," I said pointing to my tux, "This is formal." I stretched my arms out and the headwaiter gave me a tray of appetizers to give the guests. He thought I was one of his staff!
-
When i go to parties, I just try to be comfortable with what i wear but I also follow the dress code needed in that party. It's not how much clothes you wear, it's the attitude and personality beneath that clothes
-
Overdressed.
-
id rathe BE dressed
-
overdressed because you could take off the (examples) frilly headband, dressy shoes, ect.
-
i'd go for something that could be either... just as long as i look hot :) and am comfortable
-
underdressed, as long as I knew I was going to a party, I'd be wearing the nicest thing I own anyway, probably...atleast I would have showered, had make up on, hair done, etc.
-
I'm a nudist; what is your question again?
-
I'd rather come overdressed. Because there is always a chanse to take off jewellery, leave a fancy purse in a car, mess up hair and dance barefeet))))
-
Overdressed, always.
-
Overdressed, It shows more respect!
-

Underdressed. I hate being overdressed.
-
Always rather be overdressed...you don't need an excuse to always look fabulous :) Even when going to the supermarket...
-
I would rather be overdressed. I enjoy dressing up a bit from time to time.
-
I would dress in accordance to the required "protocol" of the party. Most invitations would carry a brief note on the code of dressing. I would not want to overdress or under dress but to comply with the propriety of the occasion.
-
i woman can never overdress, because if she does, she always can come up with a good excuse for it. Underdressing can make you feel insecure a little, and no one likes that feeling
-
Overdressed. Better be thought of as enthusiastic than sloppy. =) ~+~
-
I say always put your best foot forward. As long as you are not absurd, err on the side of a little too much. People will bitch a little if your overdressed, they won't let you forget it forever if your underdressed
-
I'm always overdressed as it is.
-
I would much rather be overdressed. I would feel slightly embarrassed to be seen in less than appropriate attire. My clothing projects who I am. I do not want to be labelled as the "frumpy" girl.
-
Over dressed as you can make yourself more casual ... underdressed your screwed lol
-
Underdressed. I hate being overdressed. It makes me feel really uncomfortable. Anyways, with a bit of makeup, you can turn underdressed into correctly...dressed? Yeah.
-

I like to get dressed up so I would probably be overdressed then underdressed. I dont mind
-
Both, if I'm just trying have fun I'll underdress to be more comfortable. If I'm looking for ladies, I'll dress as nicely as I deem appropriate.
-

-
I don't overdressed but sometimes I dress down
-
Always overdress. I just gotta look good :D

Hi Jodie! LTNS.... I prefer being over dressed always. I usually tend to be the bell of the ball.

Oh my... every gal's worst nightmare. I'm gonna say overdressed, that way I can put a rip in my dress or somethin... in order to dress down.

-
Probably overdressed.
-
Overdressed! You can always say that you just arrived from another much more formal party. Plus, it's way more fun, and it's a conversation piece.
-
Over dressed. You can always take off your tie or jacket. Unbutton your shirt. Un-tuck it etc. You are not making that holy t-shirt and jeans into something Respectable.
-
Overdressed definately.
