When I was a new Catholic, I attended Mass as often as I could. The preist told me there is no limit to the number of times or masses one can take Holy Communion.

Yes, you can. You can take communion as many times as you want so long as you attend the whole mass and all other conditions of receiving communion are met.

Two times in one day is the maximum allowed. Thats in canon law # 917. Iv'e heard that it's not supposed to be for devotional reasons though, but things like funerals and weddings are ok. Once a day is the norm. However does the Saturday Vigil count the same as Sunday? I'm looking for the same answer, and I definately wouldn't trust anyone except a priest to give me the answer.
