    Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) has shown to have the following side effects in clinical trials: flushing (30.8%), headache (25. 4%), nasal congestion (18.7%), and heartburn (10.5%). All events were short lived and mild in nature. Of course more severe effects can occur if one is allergic to the medication, up to and including death.

    Anyone with heart disease should not take Viagra.

    A small number of patients have lost eyesight in one eye after taking sildenafil. This type of vision loss is called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). NAION causes a sudden loss of eyesight because blood flow is blocked to the optic nerve. It is not clear at this time if sildenafil causes NAION. NAION also happens in patients who do not take this medicine. People who have a higher chance for NAION include those who:
    · have heart disease;
    · are over 50 years old;
    · have diabetes;
    · have high blood pressure;
    · have high cholesterol;
    · smoke; or
    · have certain eye problems.

    Viagra should ALWAYS be taken under the care of your physician.

    You can get splitting headaches, hot flashes, the sweats, a red and flushed face, dizziness, and blurred vision. You can also experience priapism- an erection that lasts for hours and hours and won't go away.

    How do I know? I once took 3 Viagra just to be silly and see what would happen. I regretted it.

    Possible side effects... the literature describes possible side affects for people people that are prescribed Viagra... (see other answer)... there are more possible side affects for people that are not prescribed Viagra, but use it anyway... see more here:
