You're reading If you've ever been prescribed an anti-depressant, do you remember how you first felt when you started taking it? Is the nausea worth trying to continue for the better benefits?

Thank you for saying that. This was my take on it also. My doctor seemed surprised to hear it, so I didn't mention it again, and have wondered since then if I was nuts. But it was a "constant state of mediocrity" for me and that was worse than the depression.
I would love to find a med that wouldn't smother all my feelings so that I could get the depression under control though. It might be possible because so many people seem to find them so helpful.

Well, I felt emotionally fine with Zoloft but it makes me incredibly nauseated. I'd rather be sad and not sick than sick and ok.

Tell your doctor. There are several differnt kinds of antidepressants. Not all include nausea.
