I want to see it, so yes I probably will.
-
Yes. I will be at the first showing friday.

That is what my son wants to take his friends to see for his birthday. I have some reservations but my wife and I have talked it over and decided he will not interpret it as being anti-God, so we are going to allow it. We are wondering if some of the other kids parents might not let them see it.

Ugh, no, I like the book too much.
-
No way, no how.

I will probably wait for the DVD. Would love to see what they've done with a great book, but sitting in a cinema full of kids doesn't appeal!
-
Absolutely, yes. And yes, I understand the atheist views of the author and his other books in the trilogy that vehemently express those views... my main reason for going to see this is the entertainment value of the CGI and storyline ... I love an escape from reality every so often :)

You don't have to believe any of this, you know... you took your kids to see Harry Potter - are they warlocks now? honestly... I'll read the book first, then wait for it to come out on DVD - I loathe going to the cinema full of kids chomping on sweets, sorry. Trouble is avoiding all the talk about it, as with the HP films - which didn't interest me - or Dan Browne's Books of Nonsense ("; which I happened to LOVE!!!

I don't think so. From the previews I've seen, it's just not my kind of movie. I'm not into that fantasy kind of stuff.
-
I got a free ticket for it with my purchase of Pan's Labyrinth, so yes, most likely.
