Ok.What is the superstition about a bird flying through the front door of your house? Does it mean DEATH or Just bad luck.

It is suppose to mean a death in the family but i can promise it isn't anything to worry about i have had many birds fly in with no deaths happening.

Well..I have had a couple of birds fly in before and the only thing I can say with certainty is..chances are pretty good that there is going to be bird crap on SOMETHING. No death, no bad luck...just bird crap.

I have something similar happening to myself, but they fly before me while I am driving, they "wait" for me to get close by then they fly and as they approach to my vehicle they start lowering down. Two years ago, the first time I noticed this happening, two birds did it, I, unfortunately couldn't react on time, they were killed, something really bad happened that day while I was at work. They started flying in the same pattern to me again, and now its very often, I don't know what the universe is trying to tell me, I discussed this with my yoga teacher and she recommended to see a shaman healer. Does anyone knows what does that mean?

When I was a youngster, my Mother and relatives often spoke of the belief about a bird flying into the house meaning someone will die in the family. I often wondered if it were true throughout my 72 years. Only Polish blood flowed,in our bodies. No Irish blood, that I know off. Only one irish aunt married to my Mother's Brother. About 3 weeks ago on a Thursday after dusk, I opened the front door and a bird flew in to the house, circled the living/dining room. Doves have rested on the ledge above the front door. Remembering the belief, I moved quickly to turn off the interior lights, so the bird would be attracked to the porch light outside the front door and back outside to freedom. Left a drop of poop on the tile floor full of seeds! My Sister in law was in the hospital weak and in and out of a coma after a brain biopsy. The following Monday she died. Was that a sign of her Soul(consciouness) leaving her earthly body? Now, I am listing my house for sale and will be burying a statue of Saint Joseph in the back yard for assistence! Very interesting to say the least.

For who? You or the bird? I would guess the bird get's Death, and you get Bad luck.

I always heard it was when a bird hit the window of your house. It was a given it was bad luck and probably death for the bird. Didn't ever keep track of the fallout for humans in the house.

I do not know about flying through a door, but on 12/6/08 at night a large bird landed on my porch roof just as I was taking my dog out to potty. Then soon after it landed on a grain ben. The porch roof is maybe nine feet high & sticks out maybe three feet from the house, so it was pretty close to me. I took it as a sign from Jesus that something was going to happen. The next day my Dad fell & broke his pelvis, also on 12/10 my Mom had to have an emergency operation & on 12/11 I had to take her to the emergency ward. In the past I use to ignore these signs, but not anymore. Noble 49

I heard you die, come back as a bird, fly into another door and kill someone else and they come back as a bird, fly into another door, then kill another and the cycle is repeated. Be careful.

It only means what any other dream means - what it means to you and the symbols that your brain understands in trying to communicate to you what you already know subconsciously.
