  • I would guess yes. One of the nice things about characters in their mid to late teens is that the actors that play them don't have to be that age. For example, Tom Welling, who plays Clark Kent on the WB series Smallville, was 22 when he started in that roll as his character was just starting high school. It is also a common practice to use rather young-looking officers, who are nonetheless well past high school age, as undercover investigators in high schools. So, I think that the actors have been will enough established in their rolls in the Harry Potter movies that the the producers will continue to use them. (That is, unless one or more of them get so puffed up that they become overly difficult to work with.)
  • My favourite subject. Well, my answer is that they should keep the actors for the next two movies. Think about this...The posters, merchanidise, everything that had Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are all going to feature different actors and actresses. Would you wanna buy any HP merchandise if it doesn't have them on it. The trio of actors/actresses have made all 5 films. If they change them, no one would go see the movies, the merchandise wouldn't sell, basically, the movie producers and people who make the movie would really fuck up if they fire Dan, Rupert and Emma. Dan has already stated that he wants to do the last two movies, so has Rupert. Emma on the other hand, is still thinking about it, she doesn't know if she wants to continue. If she doesn't, that's a really stupid move. Its all up to the producers and casting directors...

  • That last film will be out in 2010.They won't change the actors. In the last book the trio is suppoused to be 17-18 and Dan will be 21.I don't see the problem.
  • I believe Emma said she didn't want to do the movies anymore. Even if they raised her salary to 4 million. She doesn't want to be known as 'that girl from Harry Potter' anymore. Which is really upsetting. I know I wont like the movies anymore if the original characters aren't in it. Think about George of the Jungle.
  • I heard on Mugglenet that Emma, Daniel, and Rupert have signed on to do the last two films
  • Yes they are. They have already signed contracts and everything. I think they have realised this problame though because they are trying to get the last two out much faster than they did for the rest. The 6th is schedulaed for release in november this year and the 7th for 2010. Speaking of the actors / actresses getting to old for the parts Rupert Grint (Ron) is turning 21 in two months!!! :D
  • They are the same ages as their characters.
  • It's been confirmed that they will be finishing the series. Emma (Hermione) was hesitant though. It's a shame, she's a great actress and brought the movies into an even bigger phenomenon.
  • That's fantastic new's. I think I would have a really hard time enjoying the future movies if another actor/actress was playing their roles. Dan, Rupert and Emma do a fantastic job and are growing as actor's as they go on with these movies.
