Help answer this question below.

Have you ever been ridiculed because of a question you asked only to have it vindicated later in current events? Like I asked this question http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/471880 and now showing is the movie "Awake".

    Yeah this day is so bad. I've been seeing that message every minute! And I'm not exaggerating.

    Maybe it's part of the maintenance.

    Servers have "time-out" parameters... Meaning when you hit submit, or try to access a site, if it doesn't happen in a certain length of time, it times out, and goes to a default page, which, in this case, appears to be "Answerbag is currently unavailable."

    Earlier today, I couldn't even connect. This was probably a maintenance time, or the systerm (or a server) crashed. It came back up in just a few minutes, but it was a bit disconcerting.

    Since AB is worldwide and on 24/7, there are thousands upon thousands (or millions upon millions) hitting the site at the same time. If the servers aren't equipped to handle this, there will be time outs. (Servers cost bucks... When they can, I'm sure they improve them.) Meanwhile, we just have to live with it.

    i know its maintanance but why when i refresh or hit the back button, it works again? i thought if they r working on it, they should shut it down completely but it works then it doesnt work then it works then doesnt work lol i know the answer, i just wanted to release my frustration lol and i was just kidding to staff but really fix it immediately, request in high demand *jokes*

    I've noticed that when this happens, if I hit "Refresh", it will either post my Q&A the second time or state "Your Q&A has already been posted. You can go there in 3 seconds (or something like that).

    From time to time AB staff/management has to do computer maintenance or upgrade the site..since we are all over the world and in use 24/7 they have to do this in order to do their work.

    No, I've never been in that situation, although I thought I was going to be...

    I'd had the pre-med and I could hear them talking about getting started, and I was screaming " BUT I'M STILL CONSCIOUS!!" and I was struggling to open my eyes or to speak or SOMEthing to let them know was still here!
    Then the gasman said "Alright lovely?" and I realised they knew... WHEW!!! That was frightening.

    AB might be getting used more and more. The server might not be able to handle the traffic.

    But GRAR it's frustrating. I try to remember to copy my answers before I hit 'submit' just in case.
