  • Vintage refers to the age of an item, although not in years. For instance, you may have a piece of furniture or jewelry that is of 1920's vintage. In other words, from a particular time or era. Antique refers to the actual age of an item. Many furniture pieces are not considered antiques until they are 100 years old, although automobiles generally are considered antiques at 20 years old.
  • Antique is a unique thing, handmade, NO MASS production item can ever be antique, no matter how old it is. There is no such thing as antuque car or fridge.
  • An antique is something that is dated 20 plus years. It can be trace dated to a certain date. Vintage on the other hand is a style from a era. for example the style of clothing from the 50tys automobiles of the 30tys etc...
  • Antique only describes age. Vintage on the other hand can also imply superior quality. I am vintage, my furniture is antique.
  • Aside from the spelling? I have no idea.
  • Antiques are at least 40 years old.
  • About $50. lol
  • I am vintage, like wine. Don't know if I will ever get to antique. Hope not.
  • Don't know about other things, but when a wine is called a vintage, it means that it has not been mixed with other years. In other words, a 2006 vintage, means that it's all came from one barrel. A 2006 non-vintage, will be a bottle that has wine from multiple barrels and possible different years. But bottled and certified in/as 2006.
