What are the main differences between an A-6 Intruder and the EA-6B Prowler?

    The Intruder and Prowler are both are on the A-6 airframe with the same power plants.

    The Intruder is configured as a 2 seat fighter-bomber whereas the Prower is a 4 seat electronic warfare platform.

    In addition to the answers provided so far, the EA-6B Prowler has an electronic sensor pod in a fairing at the top of the vertical stabilizer. The cockpit windows are also lined with a distinctive gold film in the Prowler, and its wings are longer to compensate for the added weight.

    the main differences between the A6 can be identified as having swept wings, and it has a fuel nozzle that extends forward from the nose it also has very visible intake airducts that are part of the fusiloge. and the distuguishing features of the EA6B is it has a very pronounced extended cock pit, where two electronic warefare officers,sit behind the pilot and navigator, and carries Harm misseles that search out radar signatures and blow up radar tracking missles. although these aircraft are distant cousins, they are easy to tell apart, for that the EA6B has a very obvious extended cab.
