    Huge tracts of the world aren't ready for western style democracy. Trying to convince these countries that they should be democratic has much in common with Christian missionaries travelling the world telling people that their existing religion is wrong and they must convert, in order to be "saved".

    what provokes those nations is when they are forced to loose control of what they are governing and to allow these things to happen, so there is more to it, than just forcing democrcy
