Definitely. I listen to music in all kinds of languages I don't understand--Japanese, German, French, Russian, the list goes on. There's more to music than just being able to understand the lyrics.

You sure can. I love music from Ireland and Scottland and don't know a lick of Erse or Galic, but it still speaks to me on a level deeper then language ever could. Reminds me of home even though I've never been there.

Oh yes, absolutely! Some of my favorite music comes from India, Italy, France, Austria... many more. I do really appreciate great lyrics, but can enjoy music without fully understanding the words.

Of course. There's too much awesome music in the world to limit yourself to just one language. I mostly listen to music with lyrics in English, but about a third of my stuff is sung in other languages. I think it's funny, but some of my favorite artists/lyricists who sing in English have another mother tongue. Maybe being bi/multilingual helps somehow. I love a lot of Nordic music. I'm slowly working my way outward from there. The hardest thing for me is trying to learn about and get music in another language if I don't know enough words to get by while googling it and there isn't information in English. Especially if it's in Russian!

I don't get people who don't listen to or watch things in foreign languages. It's like...only eating things flavored with oregano or only watching movies about water polo. You miss out on so much! You wouldn't hear songs like this one:

I don’t hear many songs that aren’t in English. I do remember 99 Luftballoons from the 80’s and I liked it.

I definitely have to say Yes. Music is beautiful - whether it's the music itself that effects you or the words that are being sung - understood or not - music makes a difference in everyones lives.
