There is a JavaScript code you can insert at the top your page. It disables right-click functionality. This will prevent visitors from right-clicking on a picture and selecting Save Picture As in Internet Explorer, or Copy Image in Firefox. You can find the code at: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright.htm You should also disable the image toolbar that appears in Internet Explorer. This appears over images and provides options such as printing and saving a photo. Add this tag to your HEAD section: <meta http-equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no" /> These solutions aren't foolproof. If someone has JavaScript disabled, they will be able to right-click and copy parts of the page. And there are other ways to copy content. For example, users can still click and drag an image off the page.

Honestly, you are not going to find a satisfactory way of doing this (assuming by "inappropriately" you mean saved/copied for use elsewhere) since no matter what you do to the coding of the page, the view can just print a screen shot and rescan it (or something way easier). If you are worried about your picture being used in ways you don't want it to be used, do not post it. Instead, give a nice but realistic description of yourself and only send out a photo once you have established a certain level of trust between yourself and the other person.
