It would be a game where the visiting pitcher gave up 1 home run and got 12 outs in 13 batters faced, and the home pitcher shut out the visitors, with the game being called for rain after 4 1/2 innings. Under that scenario, the visiting pitcher would pitch a complete game while facing only 13 batters.

On July 30, 1971 Dick Drago did exactly that against the Baltimore Orioles losing a 5 inning game 1-0 on a Frank Robinson home run.
