  • Wow! Great resume`. Good luck with that!
  • I think you need more than a job. Maybe a good lawyer?
  • If you are found guilty, you will not have a job. So, why bother?
  • Well, having studied recruitment and selection processes, I know that from the eyes of someone offering a job, you're gonna look like someone who has problems dealing with anger, and Authority. In a Big Way. You are going to have to prove yourself to be under control, and as a changed man to get a job. OR you are going to have to convince the recruiter that not only do your other qualities make up for that shortcoming, but that those good qualities also take you past your own shortcomings, and past the good qualities of the other applicants. I would get on your resume some documented counselling, and community work, and really hone your work ethic. Being dishonest at any stage is not a good idea, as this voids employment contracts when dealing with the supply of information, and sometimes it may even be a criminal act in itself. Good luck in your search, make sure you work damn hard and don't give up!
  • Go to McD's or Wal-Mart. They hire anybody.
  • If you ARE guilty, maybe enrolling in an anger management course (in the mean time) and then throwing yourself on the mercy of the court. I think that may help more than a job. If you are NOT guilty, it still probably wouldn't hurt.
  • I am a little confused. 2nd answer. Whats the connection between finding new employment, before your court date? Is it to tell the court you are a resident of your town and not a flight risk, because you have a job? Do not know the circumstances of your assault charge, but if you did assault a police officer, you could serve time.
  • You have only been CHARGED? There is nothing that I know of on any job application that asks have you been "charged" with a crime. It usually asks if you have been convicted. If you live in America, you are still innocent until proven guilty, and contrary to what others here have told you, it does not necessarily equate to a jail sentence if you are charged with assault on a police officer. My husband was charged with ABHAN on a police officer many years ago and walked away with probation and restitution. He broke the cop's nose and had to pay his doctor bills, but the circumstances were that the cop got a little overzealous in frisking my husband during a traffic stop and he reacted automatically. He also had an excellent attorney. Good luck.
