I live in the United Kingdom and I am interested in becoming Born Again Christian but I have learning difficulties so i don't have a clue where to begin can anyone help?
I was raised Catholic but i think the Catholic church is archaic at times

I think you have already started. To be a Christian you are saying that you believe and accept Jesus as your lord and savior, and that you know it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that you are saved. Pray the Lord's prayer - that's where I started. God Bless you!

Reading the Bible would be a good start. Preferably start in the New Testament. It would be very good if you could find a Charismatic Church. The good one should be easy to find, they are the fastest growing churches in the world right now. Try to stay away from “formal” Church that is very traditional, not growing and/or there are no young families in it, they are already dead, or soon to be… More then anything pray and ask God to find you a place where you can grow. Then trust Him.

Scotland is a big place and there are many churches that would help you. To be more specific the area that you live in would be useful. The church of Scotland can be very good and evangelical. Baptist and Free Evangelicals are mostly recommended as are most Charismatic, Pentecostal and Brethren Assemblies. There must be one near you.

To become Born Again, all you have to do is simply believe that Christ died to forgive you of your sins, then Pray, asking Him to come into you life and live within your heart, and forgive you of all wrong-doing. I would suggest to begin daily Bible readings to make yourself strong in your new-found faith, and find a good church that you feel comfortable worshipping in. You might even see if there is a bible study or fellowship for new believers for you to attend.

Start by praying and asking God to help you. He will. Because He loves you so much. Then read the Bible. If you have trouble reading, find someone to read it for you. Then go to Romans 3:23, then Romans 6:23 Romans 5:8 and 8 and Romans 10:9 and 10. That's called the Roman road and do what it says. The difference between religion and being born again, is that religion is about what you do for God. Being a Christian is realizing what Jesus did for you and accepting it. It's really a relationship.

Who ever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Read John 3 Becoming born again is not an act of the human will but of the will of God and is is like the wind we dont know where it comes from or where it is going.
