our entire planet system will be blown apart from the sonic boom. And its my guess a black hole will appear
-
By that time, there wont be much of an earth left.
-
the sun would swallow earth and all of the planets!!!
-
It will be cooked. If the sun expands beyond our orbit the planet will be almost certainly destroyed but it might just survive if it doesn't make it this far out. Even so you are looking at a pretty bleak place, blasted by radiation and not the lovely planet we all love.
-
Murder/suicide so to speak.
-
That depends on if the sun dies with a bang or a whimper. If it's a bang, then the Earth's atmosphere, and anything not tied down, will be blown off, then the surface will be burned to a crisp. If it's a whimper, then as the sun slowly cools, the earth will slowly freeze and grow dark.
-
Makes you wonder how long it would take for the sun's light to end though. As we know it, the sun could be out right now, but the light from the sun is taking a long time to get to earth, so we don't know if it is yet. But naturally, the earth would freeze.
-
The sun will expand as it gets older and the heat will be too much for the earth to stand. The ocean will evaporate and people will die because we can't stand the heat..thats if we are still alive by that time..The temperature of the earth will be 500 degrees Ferenheit by that time..imagine living in that.. p.v.
-
All life will die. Those who live on the Earth have to escape to other planets in spacecraft, so we have to find a place to live until then (even it's 5-6 billion years until the Sun becomes a red giant star).
-
The Sun appears to have been active for 4.6 billion years and has enough fuel to go on for another five billion years or so. At the end of its life, the Sun will start to fuse helium into heavier elements and begin to swell up, ultimately growing so large that it will swallow the Earth. After a billion years as a red giant, it will suddenly collapse into a white dwarf -- the final end product of a star like ours. It may take a trillion years to cool off completely. http://www.solarviews.com/eng/sun.htm
