Help answer this question below.
sounds like a bad solenoid.
ALWAYS start with the most simple thing first and work your way up. Clean and tighten your battery connections.
If that is not the problem, it could be the starter relay. Turn the key on, then try to "short across" the two bolts on the starter relay (located near the battery). Lay a screwdriver across the two main bolts very briefly.
This is just a possibility...
(since this is an old question it might be useful to someone else)
try disconnecting the battery first this will reset the computer. i dont know why the 1995 f 150 sometimes does this its happened to me b4 and thats all i had to do. I still havent replaced the solenoid.
It could be caused by a few things. But I'll just tell ya what I had to do on my own last night. For it done the same thing. First I cleaned the battery contacts. Nothing happen. So I replaced the solenoid & that ended my problem. Next would of be my starter, but I lucked out................Good Luck!!!!.......+5
replace the solenoid on the firewall...
jack up the truck (safely) drop the starter down clean both wires going to it look at smallest wire closly its probably a bluish green under the insulation if so replace this wire it goes to solenoid or if you want just reach up and wiggle wire a bit see if truck will start it probably will good luck
I have one of these trucks also. I replaced the battery and still had to install a new selonoid. That took care of the problem.

You're reading I have 1995 Ford f150 when I go to start it, it just clicks, I read 12.48 volts on the battery and when you turn the key to try and start it the voltage does not drop very much. I also tryed to jump start it all I got was clicking noise.
