  • It will be night here in NZ all the time and I will have to find me a night job
  • Well, Movement is relative, and its easy to forget that Earth is in an orbit within a solar system that is moving, within a glaxy that is moving. The latter two movements are likely to be incredible fast when compared to the movements of spinning and orbit, so if Earth were to stop moving in relation to the Universe as a whole, It would appear as if Earth had been flung out the solar system incredibly fast. If we stopped moving in relation to the sun, we would begin to fall into the sun instead of "falling around" it. If we stopped spinning on an axis, then days would last 6 months or more (especially on poles, which would change) This I think would cause incomprehensible climatic chaos!
  • I think we'd lose our gravity if the earth stopped spinning.
  • We'd all fall down and be unable to get up. Gravity without centrifugal force would like crush us.
  • ...That the year 7 billion has finally happened.
