How hard is it to break a laptop hard drive by moving it around? If you dropped it, would it still work?

still in the laptop or removed from it? And at what height and on to what surface? but generally if it hasn't cracked then theres a good chance it will still work

No, it is not hard to break any hard drive by dropping it. Hard drives are very susceptible to physical shock. Some laptop makers try to help things by encasing the hard drive in a gel pack of sorts, but this only applies to more expensive laptops. If you've subjected your hard drive to any degree of physical shock, I would recommend performing a thorough error check of the drive soonest. You may be lucky. Better to be safe than sorry though.
