It would be the equivalent of a left hand turn in the UK and would be illegal any time of day or night no matter how quiet the roads are.

More yielding than completely stopping here in Ms + 5

Yes in Ohio you can turn right on red after a stop; unless there is a sign saying it's not allowed at that intersection

Yessir, right on red is totally legal at any time (even with a red arrow, which I find strange...) However, they try to catch you by adding a "Yeild" sign sometimes... so sometimes you can yeild, sometimes you have to come to a complete stop. Depends on the cop pulling you over, unfortunately.

Yeah thats legal in Florida, so are U-Turns. They are legal anywhere except where there is a sign that says NO U-TURN. Seems anything that does not result in a collision is legal here.

unless there's a sign, is legal here. There's a few signs that say "No right turn on red when children are present"-- I guess these intersections are busy enough, but also child-infested enough, that "no right turns on red, at all" would just not work, but they've got to protect the people who would just run as soon as the sign lit up, instead of looking.

Legal in almost all of Canada ... but illegal anywhere on the Island of Montreal, where I live.

"Right on red after a full stop" was the law in California in the early 70s and has been propagated throughout the states except where explicitly prohibited. "California rolls" could still get you busted anywhere.
-
in all 48 states a right turn on red is legal EXCEPT where designated otherwise..(no right turn in red sign)
