If I was the fashion police I would require everyone to own at least one pair of knee high boots. They're about the most versatile piece of clothing a girl can own and look good in summer and winter (depending on what you wear with them). However, because they're black, I'd not use them for daytime wear once the sun starts to come out- say after the start of May. If you want to wear knee highs on summer shopping trips opt for a softer brown suede or fabric pair (you'll sweat less too) You can still wear your black leather ones for a night on the town, teamed with a suede mini and bare tanned legs they'll look stunning.

Knee high boots are nice to wear whatever date it is, be they black or white or blue or red or purple or yellow or camel or green or pink or grey.
