If I make enough to pay all the bills and have lots of disposable income? Why not stay home. Its her choice if she wants to work or not.

I believe this to be a family decision. I do not have a family of my own, but, I am witness to my sister's family. Whereby she stays at home with the kids and her husband works. It appears to be a fantastic arrangement for the children and her husband and less so for my sister. Sure she doesn't have to work at a firm per se, but she's working baby... But, hopefully, when the time comes and my wife agrees to it, I want her to stay home with the kid(s).

Women are more than capable of making their own decisions. My other half works although she doesn't really have to as I do well enough for our family. She just wants to. If we both had to work through need that would be a different story, we have discussed her reducing her hours but she seems to be happy doing whatever she chooses, I have no problem with this (why would I - she is all growed up). I guess it's all about choice, in a good partnership I guess you make your chices based on the family needs. Thats the dictator not either one of us.

Housewife. I don't think a woman can't or shouldn't work, but I also believe that a woman shouldn't HAVE to work. It's up to her, but I'd definitely prefer it if she'd stay at home.

While there are children in the house, housewife is the most important job she, or I, could have. It's the one my job exists to pay for. . If it's just the two of us ... whatever makes her happy. .
