  • A lot of folks are not what you visualize in your mind when you meet them. I can understand why you want to meet her right away... you are hoping she is the slim, perfect, busty, sex kitten in your mind. She may not feel comfortable meeting you so soon. She may completely freak out and stop communicating with you. Us females are complex creatures. Is she willing to exchange photos? Would she want to speak on the telephone with you? Take it slow or you may scare her off. Then again, don't let this drag on for months either.
  • You could try to meet up in a group setting the first time out. You could bring a friend or two, and she could do the same.
  • What would be weird would be not meeting her in person while trying to cultivate a relationship. Simply suggest the two of you get together to learn more about each other. It can be casual -- a lunch, walk at the zoo, rollerblading, whatever. Then you'll get a much clearer picture of who she really is. Good luck.
  • I agree with She riff raff. The public place option, with an indefinite time period, so if it is awkward, she can break off. Keep an open mind, don't go in all guns blazing for a relationship, just have fun, and if it seems perfect without the sexual side, then stay as friends! Dating sites don't have to be for dating, as ironic and oxymoronic that may sound!

  • I've proposed a first time meeting in a large bookstore w/ a coffe/desert cafe in it. This way, I can be early, browse a book or magazine in a subject area I like, and be seated reading it when she arrives. It's a poor time to read, since you're continually looking for her to enter, but once she's there it gives her an easy "what's that you're reading?" ice-breaker if needed...on a subject you've picked out (and can talk about easily).
  • Can you tell me why on earth will she think that you are weird if you ask her out ? It is a normal act.
