  • The drug dealers. They have so much money they recently got caught with a sub. As long as the demand for drugs doesn't change the dealers will find a way to make them available. The Government is fighting a fruitless battle and wasting our tax dollars. We need to find a more effective way to deal with drug abuse and I'm not just talking about the illegal ones either.
  • People on drugs. Which says a lot as the late great Mr Hicks once said... "hey John we're winnin a war!"... "jeez I though we were just frazzled..." :)
  • My lungs and liver are losing the war on drugs.
  • I'm doing my bit for the economy :D
  • Not the authorities.
  • no the war on drugs is a waste of tax money. the money spent to fund the drug war is a waste as long there is a demand (there will always be a demand). when the money used on the drug war increaces the crime rate goes up because the users need their "fix". so users are willing to do anything go get what they are after which in most cases is money to purchace these substances. so in turn the government has to clean up and spend more money on crime rate. the drug war is three simple words PORK BARREL SPENDING!!!!
  • Dealers?
  • nobody. Its a stupid concept based on lack of knowledge of human culture.
  • Sadly kids jsut sit around bored and depressed because of the pressures the 'man' puts on them in highschool, getting up early as hell doing large amounts of work in and out of school, and so the kids smoke pot and snort cocain, they're winning the war because all of them are doing it, and the goverments loosing because they're helping.
  • Both parties. Govt is getting what it wants and drug kingpins are unaffected and even somewhat getting a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that this is all about money and explicitly being allowed while those in power to stop it are obviously faking their public stance. It's a win-win. Only losers are the gen pop that doesn't do drugs (of which I am actually one of since my job policy I agreed to allows them to pee test me and I love my job too much to risk losing it over getting stoned...otherwise I'd still be a major pot head w/ the occasional mushroom or acid trip dependent upon availability...tho DXM trips are still legal, and more likely to be fatal...go figure).
  • The dealers who sell illegal drugs, and perhaps to an even greater extent, the dealers who prescribe and sell legal drugs.
  • The Drug dealers.
  • Pharmacist.
  • I lost, all my money.
  • Potheads, snorters and shooters.
  • Drugs won.
  • the DRUGS are winning
  • The dealers - unfortunately. I have a theory that Mother Nature tries to keep the population of the planet at an optimum level and if there are no wars killing our young people she will come up with something else to kill them. I know it's a stupid theory, but it makes sense to me.
  • Frankly, considering where the War on Drugs started (60s I believe?), the government has gotten far since then. Serious drugs are a lot harder to get now, and there has been a lot of cooperation from places like Colombia.
  • The pink elephants. They're freakin everywhere, man!
  • Everybody's losing. We're losing a generation of kids to jail in this War. Iraq is shit compared to this war.
  • Those posh rehab facilities that cost an arm and a leg. Think about it: rehab usually never sticks first time around, so back into rehab at $30,000 a week they go.....
  • The same people that were winning during alcohol prohibition. The black/gray market. Al Capone = Pablo Escobar http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php
  • Dealers
  • Considering how I feel right now, I'd have to say me ;)
  • drugs.
  • The pharmicutical companies are winning. on illicits it'd have to be satan. Wait! The pharms are satan.
  • this song claims that we are:
  • The ones who are profitting from the "War on Drugs", are the ones who are winning..
  • We are. You know, all of us who smoke daily.
  • Columbia Bolivia
  • hopefully the dealers i wish the government would are money on some more usefull then they might cut a few price hav u tryed buying desent weed or coke recently it's daylight robery.
  • They should probably just stop it, people are not going to stop taking them - largely as they are so damn good :) But seriously the war is defeating itself as many of the problems acossiated with drugs are caused by the illegality and war.
  • My pot dealer! ;-)
  • Canada was winning the war on prescription drugs. it was cheaper to buy drugs from canada than from the local pharmacist. but the usa put the sqeeze on Canada so i think they have raised their prices and have become less competitive.
  • the private companies that are building record amounts of jails...they are making a killing
  • The money being poured into this is outrageous. Usually when something is failing so miserably, an intelligent person might step back & ask if it's time to discuss a different approach. I hate to point fingers & force people to take sides, but it seems like "someone" does not want things to change. Someone is making a whole lot of money at our expense. I know our culture would never stand for legalization of drugs. But just give this a thought: if the pharmaceutical companies were the suppliers of "recreational" drugs, 1.They would be regulated & cooked in a controlled enviornment. No more drano, or other unknown substance being cut in by a greedy Joe Pusher somewhere. Long before Joe Tweaker made his clandestine purchase in a very bad part of town.2.Joe User would walk in to any pharmacy, read the ingredient panel on the side of the sealed package, then take it to the cash register where he pays a government regulated price, PLUS TAX!!!! 3. The already hated pharm. makes money, the feds take their cut, & your city gets a chunk of that, too.(Wow! Better schools?? Fewer potholes?? More groups teaching alternatives to drug use??)4.People stop hiding from & plotting against their local P.D.Cops don't have to fear people strung out on unknown substances, or spend countless hours of frustration chasing down non-violent 3rd strike felons.5. Our prisons go back to housing the true criminals they were intended to keep off the streets instead of being released early just to ease congestion.6.We stop "breeding" new & more dangerous criminals in federal prisons by sending so many good people fighting an addiction to rot beside creeps you only read about. When you take a man's hope & dignity away, the best of us will stoop to unimaginable means just to survive. 7. The money that would be generated is staggering. Salaries for all those that fight "the war", The entire departments that work 24/7 winning small battles daily, as the problem continues to escalate & evolve. 8. We'd remove the whole industry that makes drug-dealing profitable, & therefore of no interest to gangs. It would completely eliminate their reason to use guns, or violence to such a rampant degree. and 9!!! The simple fact that it would no longer be an ellicit act would take all the fun out of it. Addicts are obviously illogical risk-takers. So remove the risk!!!! And perhaps begin to make a dent in our national debt!! I guess that idea is just too darn simple.
  • dictators around the world.
  • not the old people - can buy hash for less than a bottle of heart meds
  • The drugs
  • No one. It's not really a war.
  • The international elite. The drugs cartels and governments work for them. My 2 cents.
  • I think the war on drugs = crack becoming available as a cheap drug= rise in women being addicted to crack living in poverty = the rise of an unprecedented number of black women being incarcerated = impoverished communities felt the effect of the family system falling apart as women historically have held families together. This was something I watched on a documentary about The War on Drugs and it's ripple effect. No winners just losses
  • drug dealers
  • The drug dealers. A dime bag is $20 bucks now;(
  • Not the government.
  • No one! It's all an ill-advised and very expensive ruse! ;-)
  • its a loose loose situation... more people are dying from the war than the drugs themselves and the price is all jacked up... everyone is loosing except dealers and cops... even they are both loosing too lets stop the war
  • pharmaceutical investors and natures candy copy-cat drug designers
  • The drugs. hmmmmm. Those who favor increased government intrusion in our lives have won. Black marketters have won. Criminals who show contempt for all laws, as well as victimless crime laws, are doing well to the extent that gov't is busy caging the non-violent types. Now check out my questions: If D.E.A.th agents where in a shoot out with marihuana growers, who would you root for? http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/934842 In addition to this stupid war on Iraq, will McCain continue on the stupid War on Drugs? http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/919544 ;-)
  • If you ask someone who is high I believ their answer was that they won Mr Bill
  • Not me, anyone spare a dime bag?
  • They need to re look into the books of what is considered narcotics, and herbs. Let's face it, it's fun till it's legalized right. Don't forget about gamboling, that used to be against the law so long ago. ><
  • The Drugs.
  • The addicts.
  • The people that are selling the drugs. So many people on here make it obvious that they support smoking pot and wants it to be made legal. You tell me if you are a parent would you want your child to grow up in a world where pot is legal and so many people start off smoking a little pot, drinking some alcohol, then taking some pills, doing some coc and before you know it they are a shooting up needles in their arm and smoking a crack pipe. I think we need to come to our senses here and stop acting like smoking weed is okay and is harmless. I know so many people that have said that and their brain is fried and they are losers in life.
  • The prison system, apparently more than anyone else.
  • The Foreigners.
  • THE CIA! And it's proven they profit the most!
  • the cocaine import agency (cia)
  • The Drugs!
  • The War On Drugs is a sham. It has not significantly altered the manufacturing, the importation, the sale, nor the use of illegal substances. At the same time, it has spawned an expansion of the police and the prison system(the new growth industry). Crimes committed against property, plus muggings and robbberies to pay for drug habits continue to plague American cities. Street gangs are expanding to protect their trade violently in the inner cities. The only losers are the tax payers who must continue to foot the bill in this war and who are at times the victims of gangs and their crimes.
  • Police sniffer dogs. Never out of work, even in the recession!
  • The Druggies yaaaaa
  • Drug dealers and users. The War On Drugs is pathetic! How does the government expect to stop drugs from comming into our country when they can't even keep drugs out of thier prisons???
  • the private prison prison companies and the cia. they're making a killing on the drug trade.
  • The drug cartels, dealers and various police agencies that are allowed to confiscate personal property.
