If theyre lively, social people then they can be a great idea. Never go on a double date if someones in a bad mood though, can be rather akward....

I think they are a little intense. I feel like whether they mean to or not, the couples will always compare themselves to each other and compete.

I actually don't like them. I feel like i can't be as personal, up close, and totally open with a girl when I'm on a double date...

Yeah, I think they're really good! I usually double up on a first date. I find that having friends there (they tend to be my own friends) is a good safety net for both of us to talk to. First date is more of like an interview anyway. Might as well have some fun with it lol

its good if u just met the person to get to know them better without all the awkwardness but if uve known them for awhile and it wont be awkward at all then no doubles

I once was on a double date which were first dates with the girls and my mate . We all got totally happy , and ended up in the jacuzzi naked . I got to fuck his date , while my date enjoyed him. As it was a friday night we stayed the weekend , and what a weekend it was . My mate and I shared a flat and the girls often stayed the weekend not that we ever got sleep :)

The depends since you a little more comfort level if everyone is in a good mood, or the reverse.

The downside is that you don't get to know the other person that well and too much side conversation can detract or distract.

Still if all are willing and in a good mood you can always split away if you achieve a comfort level with your date. So in that sense you don't have much to lose.

But also can be awkward if the conversation starts turning on-sided.

I would think that it would be better just to date but a casual date (coffee shop) or some place that has a a good attitude and people. This gives you room to start a conversation even if it's about the surroundings and people around.

Takes away some of intial tension.

for me on a first date its not a good idea because I'd rather get to know the person and i'm out going and have a lot to say and ask.

If a person is really shy then a double date is a great ice breaker.

One man and two women or one woman and two men, Hey! That would set some tongues a wagging. Couldn't help getting a kick out of your question. NO, That would be like kiss and tell. If you want to double your pleasure and double your fun, then just stick to Double-mint,Double-mint-Gum.

I suppose. I'm not shy, so I'd much rather prefer one on one...... but whatever it takes I guess.
