  • i often visit loch ness. my husband and i stay at a small lochside village at least 4 times a year. in all that time neither of us has ever seen anything suspicious. perhaps my friend is right when she tells me nessie is terribly shy! :)
  • Well some years ago I was up there and a strong wind was running very unusually down the valley (the locals said they'd never seen such a thing before and actually gathered in small crowds out looking at the water, talking about it) and there were couple-foot WAVES on the water and breaking on the shores. Very much on par with the Atlantic ocean on a good day. There were some unusual things in the water that day... I can't say if they were Nessie for sure or not, but if they weren't, I could definitely see how such a day would have started a legend like that!
  • oh i see her regularly, she pops in for a bite to eat when business is quiet.. shes lovely actually, quite timid. Heres our Nessie... dont speak too loud in case you frighten her ok??
  • I've been on the loch in a boat and was very grateful not to have seen anything! Even worse is driving past the loch at night - I keep expecting big leathery legs to suddenly stride into the road in front of my car. I don't think it exists sadly - first report of it was over a thousand years ago I think - some Saint or other I think - if it existed there would have had to have been a whole colony of them breeding ... and surely in all that time there would have been verifiable sightings.
