If a road accident happens in your country, do the people stop driving and gawk or ignore the sight?

Some people stop to make sure it is not anyone they know.

In our country [Philippines] it usually causes a huge traffic jam no matter how minor the accident is. whenever something out of the ordinary happens, people want to poke their nose into it. -_-

Yes some people do this and like to help but have n knowledge.

They look. They need to know what happened, and whether or not anyone needs help, and how they can avoid making the same mistake. If the potential for death didn't make us pay attention then we'd all be extinct by now. I'm assuming that the tendency to gawk is a world wide phenomenon.

Slow down, make sure they're relatively alright (pretty much assumed if there are flashing light bars present), and roll on past. Most accidents around here are either minor or already have help there already.
