I disagree with it..not because of the age differences..but rather because a teacher should be operating in a professional/not emotional/sexual relationship with her students. A teacher can have great influence on younger people..I don't think she should take advantage of the power.

i agree with da ben da. maybe the kid would be temporarily lucky, but the teacher on the other hand should follow some kind of professional or ethic code. i think anyone under age shouldn't have sex with their teachers. and that teachers need to be careful with the power imbalance they should respect.
i knew a teenage girl who was having sex with our teacher suffice to say that girl did have issues, it could be different for boys.

First off I LOVE GEORGE CARLIN and his comedy should be taken lightly. I'm far from offended from his comment but here in the real world the teacher is a sex offender and the kid was taken advantage of.

George Carlin was not only "funny", he was very politically active. He used observational stand-up and hyperbole as his platform, and his comedy really did illustrate his views. He was anti-establishment (to the point of anarchism) and pro-personal-responsibility.

Subtract the hyperbole from his statement, and I would have to agree that the adolescent males are not likely "permanently damaged" by their dallying with Mrs. Robinson. Scandalous national media coverage would prevent this outcome from being confused with "lucky" however.

Depends on the boy but I don't think it is a very good situation as the teacher should be acting more professionally and not playing favourites.
