yes, once last year by an ex-girlfriend that I broke up with because she was psycho. She scared the hell out of me. She kept saying things like: "you are mine and you can't date anyone else!!!". She threatened to hurt me if she were to see me with another girl. Plus, she kept calling me at all times of the day and night. Thankfully she moved outside the country but she would still call me up long distance and I just screen my phone calls.

Well, I guess I would consider a troll sending threatening messages and emails to be stalking. Back when I was on Y/A, I had to shut off my "email" link because of the nasty and vicious emails I would get. Then, they apparently figured out or got my email from someone and pretended to be from Yahoo and sent fake violation notices as well. I had to set up blocks and filters to put a stop to it. They did this to a lot of other users, too...and they also troll and clone on AB. Once, they cloned me and came on and announced that my partner had died...and a lot of people fell for it at first, until they noticed that "I" was level one and had a new account.

Twice.Both times I took a restraining order out on both.One was arrested for breaking the restraining order and the other just kind of faded into the woodwork.My suggestion would be to go to the authorities and do the same.Be very careful out alone and DO NOT give this person any attention of any kind,that will only further incite this person to stalk you .I hope this helps and that this situation is resolved in a timely and positive way! It is a very uncomfortable feeling to say the least.Hope all is well Rick!Also when possible Change your routine!

Yes. The best thing you can do is get the authorities involved ASAP. Do not communicate directly with the individual, if you can help it. This is the GOAL - direct communication with you and attention from you. Even if you are yelling, that is considered a positive by the person.

Yes, It scared me. I don't scare easy. He knew where I was all the time. Called me and told me. I had a restraining order put on him, not worth the paper it's written on. It all started when I baby sat for his twins. His wife was in the hospital. It went on for about a year. And then one day it stopped!!!!!!

Yes and it was horrible. The first one followed me around and would not leave me alone, the other one sms'ed me these vulgar inappropriate sex messages. I still don't know to this day who it was. I was on the point of getting the police involved. And to think this all happened while I was in Primary School!

I have had a few stalkers actually - but the two were just ex bf's who were just hanging on and it wasnt that serious, just pathetic and sad.
The one was a true stalker though and it was very scary.
I will be honest and admit that at first it was kind of flattering and ego boosting, I mean this guy met me ONE TIME and was writing me amazing poems and drawing/painting unbelievable portraits of me and sending me flowers etc. But then it got creepy, he found out my address and phone number (home & cell) some how, hacked my email and msn, got 3 different cell phone numbers to call n txt me from and used one to pretend he was a chick hating on me (wtf. right?!)and even got photos of me off my myspace etc and photo shopped himself in them so it looked like we were posing together... omg it was so creepy! this went on for about two years, it was more serious in the second year. I told him I was going to the police and he said he would kill himself (geezus!) and that he would wait for me forever -even in death because he knew we were soul mates. I tried to find out who his friends were so they could talk to him, his best friend didnt believe me - he thought (after seeing his photo-shopped pix of us!) that I was his gf. He said that this guy is the captain of a state basketball team and is super popular and a total cool cat, that he never had to chase or "stalk" a girl in his life and he was not a poem writing portrait painting pansy! can you believe that?
So clearly I was dealing with a psychotic stalker with a double life and split-personality. in the end my bf at the time was the one that got him to stop, he still wont tell me how he managed it but he promised he didnt kill him (lol)!
Having a true stalker is really the scariest thing, it robs you of your liberty and makes you paranoid - you stop feeling safe and you feel like you are always being watched. It quickly stops being flattering and turns ugly once they realise you cant be "won".
My advice to anyone being stalked is to TELL EVERYONE , DONT KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

I don't know for sure. I have been threatened with physical bodily harm on two occasions by two different people (at least mentioned a hi-power rifle). I am not sure if they actually stalked me or not.
The police were aware of it and in one case actually reported that to me that I had been threatened.
