1. decriminalizing will reduce the big numbers in jails & courts. 2. Will take business out of hands of criminals and into legitimate hands, subject to regulation and taxation. 3. People are gonna do it regardless of the legality anyway. Why have laws we can't enforce?

People have the right to be stupid and to do things that harm themselves. The Government does not have the role of being a parent. Plus, alcohol and tobacco are legal, so keeping marijuana illegal is hypocritical.
