That's a matter of opinion. There are very few free sites of good quality, some have an outrageous amount of pop-ups, others have a limit to what you are able to do on the site. I beleive Paid sites are for the serious relationship seekers. Paid sites seem to ask more questions and show more answers and match people up who may actually be a good match. Free sites seem to guess at what is a good match.

Well, kinda sorta, but you do know you can post a profile for free on any of the paid sites, right? This will give you access to see what's out there and you can "wink" if you find someone interesting. Of course, that's all you can do, without buying in, but worry about that if you think you've found "the one" and he winks back! Then you can decide if it's worth it to pay their outrageous monthly fee. If you're not easily offended, Adult Friend Finder's site offers opportunities to those seeking sexual hookups, with VERY graphic pictures posted on profiles. Without a paid account, you can only view pictures thumbnail size, where most are not faces, but "c*cksh*ts" . . . It's amazing how much low class you can see in just a square inch photo! Anyway, an advantage of this site, if you can handle that (or like that), is the ability to contact members directly through their site's message center. The only real limitation is a few members allow only paid members to contact them, but you can still wink at them. I'm gonna add one more thought here, about those paid sites that prey on the lonely people in the world. Yeah, it's a world full of couples, but don't think for a moment by paying for a membership to one of these places, you'll increase your chances of finding whatever it is you're hoping to find! It's all as much about luck, and being in the right place, with a smile on your face at the right time, as it is about completing some special harmony quiz. You know, if they have it all figured out, then maybe they should fix all the bad relationships first, and lower the divorce rate too! Then maybe it would seem possible! Love isn't easy and can't be manufactured. Oh, maybe it can be . . . Thinking now about arranged marriages in the world. Anyway, these online match sites bombard us with offensive commercials, showing us all the pretty people they've supposedly put together to live happily ever after. To that I say, "What about the ordinary people?" Okay, I'm done!

The pay sites are, after all, ultimately there to make money. I mean -- they have to draw the line somewhere. If they let all their members contact each other without anybody paying, then how would they make any money? The act of charging money for services that others are willing to give away for free does not in and of itself constitute a scam. It's merely capitalism. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the pay sites don't scam their members in other ways, I'm just saying that the act of charging for their services per se is not a scam (IMHO).

There are a few "free", moderated sites out there... "Plenty of Fish" www.plentyoffish.com and "Matchdoctor" www.matchdoctor.com The best one, Plenty of Fish is run out of Vancouver and has a monster subscriber base of over a million and a half... with a male-female ratio of about 50% it's absolutely free and I might add a very friendly site... no CC, no spam, crap or spyware. No cost to join, contact, reply or to participate in the forums.... which can be very lively. Matchdoctor is OK and works good.. another free site is bookofmatches.... again these sites have a smaller subscriber base.

craig's list is free. women looking for men, men looking for women. people say they get lots of responses. many of the ads are fake.

The women on Craigslist are scamming 99.9% of them will try to send you to another site to sign you to a dating site or try to steal your Credit card information. Most pay sites, hijack photos from other countries and make up profiles. Most a shames.
