Help answer this question below.

I'm a Canadian citizen and I'm marrying a Bosnian citizen in Bosnia and Herzegovina. What documents do I need? How long must my fiancé wait before being able to enter Canada?

    to marry in bosnia is not difficult (i just did this)you need your birth certficate APPOSTILLED. if you have been married before you will need a copy of your divorce papers appositlled too (spelling) and your passport of course. bosnians have an ID card which for the us is SORT of like our social security number and picture ID in 1. you will have to go to the embassy there is a canadian one there. i made my appointment online before hand. also depending on where you go in bosnia the federation and the republic of srpska have different waiting periods before you can get married this is not such a big deal as long as the guy isnt busy so check with your magistar. your intended will know what i am talking about... anyway when you go to the embassy they will give you a paper to show that you are free to marry and make a certified copy of your passport since you dont have a bosnian id card. all your soon to be husband will need is his id card and birth cert... (their birth certs show if they are married or not--something he will also have to get udated after the marriage.)

    anyway pick a place and let the magistar know... oh and you will HAVE to have a translater even if you are fluent in bosnian it does not matter those are easy to find... the magistar will have a few names but i found mine online... it was super easy... we arranged ours in about 3 days and that includes place and everything... by the way email the embassy to set up your appointment before you go... sometimes they are busy so you need to do it in advance... it make it go smooth... they should also be able to tell you if you need anything anything else... since your canadian and i am not sure how your id system is set up it could be a little different. (im american) but thats all the info i got... just email normally they are super nice or have your husband (to be) call. i hope that helps...

    I met my soul mate online. I went to see him and we are sealed up I tried to apply for a transit visa but the Haitian embassy denied him I am now going to his country to marry him and stay the one year there with him to make it legal so I can bring him back to canada. I have spoke to him for one year online and everyday single day on the phone he had finally said he would come to canada, but since he got denied the visa I told him I cannot live without him too so I now am going to him there. If you truly love him then email me I will help you since I have done a lot of research into this matter now. He even checked me out on net detective as well loool. This is very serious and I know there are people out there only looking for an easy out from their own country, neither of us have ever been married either as well. mvi30 at hotmail.com is my email
