  • Human saliva or spit. sounds gross, but it works. do not know why it works, but it works. before putting your goggles on your eyes, spit into the inside of each eyepiece. rub it around evenly and whola! you are ready to see the bottom of the pool. be safe!
  • If there is a dive shop near you, give them a visit and ask for some defog. Sea-Drops, Sea-Gold, 500 psi, just some of the different ones. I recomend the Sea-Gold.
  • They actually sell no-fog goggles. They work quite well in my experience. I was on swim team for 4 years and we practiced in icy cold water. I've tried saliva, but it didn't work very well for extended periods of time. They would stay fog free for at most 20 minutes. Speedo brand no-fog goggles are great. Especially when supplemented by no-fog drops after about 6 months of use - they sell them at swim meets and at swimming supply stores.
  • Spit on the glass part and smear it around, rinse in the water you are going to swin in. It works, this is what we do when we go diving.
  • While on vacation in Caribbean, a local SCUBA instructor had us use common liquid dish soap. Just smear a goodly amount on the inside of the lenses and they will remain fog free at a fraction of the cost of other products.
  • Rain-Ex. It was formulated for airplanes to keep the rain from building up on the cockpit canopy. It also works great on the bathroom mirror to keep it from fogging up after a hot shower.
  • Just like a cold beer can sweats on the outside in warmer weather. The inside of your googles sweat because the outside water is colder. Spit works just fine because it decreases the surface tension on the inside of your goggles so they dont fog but rather form water droplets that slide to the bottom of the goggles. Sometimes you have to take your goggles off and dump out the condensation. Just a warning here. Practice the technique of dumping out the condensation in shallow water and putting your goggles back on. If you're in deep water and your goggles fog up or water seeps in because your mask isn't on tight it can cause you to panic because you're trying to stay afloat and performing this task. I've been mighty scared on a more than one occcassion trying to do both things at once.. On a lighter note. The same thing would happen to a cold beer can if you licked the outside, but that's not my idea of a good time. Plus spit is free. Might be marketable though. Ebay?
  • Spit works for some people, but not for all. I just think it's disgusting. Dishwashing liquid rubbed on, then thoroughly rinsed off works, but I don't like the smell that remains. The Sea Gold or other anti-fogging products you can buy (if there's a dive shop near you) work for a lot of people, but they can be expensive. The solution I like best (not disgusting, not stinky, not expensive, easy to buy anywhere) is...ready for this??...baby shampoo. Johnson & Johnson is my favorite. I used to use anti-fogging products when I went scuba diving, but after trying baby shampoo once, I never use anything else. If you don't love it, too, I'll be very surprised!!
