Race has nothing to do with it. It would depend on how long I've known each one, which one I consider to be a closer friend, that sort of thing.
You say one has a "better" personality. If, by that, you mean that one has an anger problem or a mean streak, then that would give me reason to choose the other. Otherwise, differences in personality could prove interesting...

Which probably means I would date the one who I had the most in common with culturally.
It isn't about skin colour, but I would date the one who came from the same background as me and who I therefore had the most in common with. If the choice was between a white guy from my own background and a black or asian guy from another culture or different background to me, I'd probably choose the white guy. If the white guy wasn't from the same background as me and the black guy was, I'd choose the black guy.

It was not too long ago though, that interracial dating was considered both a sin and a crime in the United States. Some churches still think it's a sin.

race has nothing to do with it in my opinion. I tend to prefer asian women over white (my race) and so I might be a little biased in that aspect but color really has nothing to do with anything in my opinion, it's all about chemistry, connection, appeal and compatibility. I find women of all races attractive so I have no hangups on that. But a crappy attitude and shallow personality will kill any chances in a second.

follow your heart because race is just something humans make a huge thing allbecause of the color of someones skin.dont be racist be colorblind(like my family and i and many other people) follow your heart and if you do choose the opposite race and git riduculed because of it just ignore it and live your life with who you think it would be best with(or be with for the time being whichever it is).hope this helps. :)

Or you could base it completly on race which would make it very simple or on personality which you think you know before you even date. Or neither, or both.
