  • By inverted, do you mean it's upside down, or the left is switched with the right so that everything looks like in a mirror? (backwards)
  • It's possible that you've inadvertently switched the screen. Some video cards, like those manufactured by ATI come with a software suite ( Catalyst, in ATI's case)that allow you to have the display show any which way you wish (upside down, right side up, left to right and right to left for monitors that are mounted vertically or have other space constraints). Have a peek to see if it's an ATI card and I can walk you through how to use Catalyst to switch the screen back.
  • Colour inversion or axial inversion?
  • Like 'Scubabob' (wonder if he's into diving?) said, the inverted image could be due to intentional or unintentional clicking of the screen orientation from ur graphics hardware programme. Normally, these programmes will have an icon put at bottom right corner of ur monitor (when it is in correct orientation state..).so look for any graphics card related programme icon (or any icon..i suggest u check them all) and find an 'options, settings, setup.etc ) option button within that programme that opens from the icons. An alternate way is...follow step by step pls: 1- right click on ur desktop screen click 'Properties' and then choose 'Settings'. here, you should normally find 'Display:' and next to that, there will be ur display or graphics card name and model if installed. So read the whole line next to display (which is ur display card) and remember it. Next, move ur cursor over the right bottom corner icons (normally where ur clock or time appears on monitor)some can be hidden if u find an arrow, indicating auto hide. and as each icon provides a name when cursor is on top, try to see if any name comes up that is whole or part of the name u found which was written next to the 'display:'.there should be one u will find 'familiar'. Hope this helps.
  • same thing happened to me, try clicking ctrl+alt+the up arrow at the same time.x
