ASSUMING both places I applied for a second job offer me a job (perfect world here) which would be better to choose? Barnes and Noble or PetCo?

Which do you like better, hanging around all day with books or animals? I can see pro's and con's for both. Hope you get at least one. :D

Which do you like better: books or animals? Would you rather be in a store where when you have to clean it'll be books and things like coffee cups and odd napkins (if they have a coffee shop in or nearby) and reorganize books or clean up pet messes (yeah, you know, from both ends at times . . . and who knows what else!)

Barnes and Noble! I know people who work there, it's a very nice job. For the most part, the people are good, the atmosphere is laid back, and a huge perk is being able to read many books pre-release.

I'd go with Barnes and Noble. I don't like the smell of animal droppings.

Tough one! I love to read and I have 8 pets. The discounts at both would be a great help. I would probably pick Barnes and Noble though, I already have enough extra hair on me.

Why not do both, just on different days or evenings? At 17, any work can be fascinating, frustrating, boring, and/or daunting all on the same day. Will you meet people in either post? Is that an issue for you? Maybe the food job would be more fun as it would bne more sociable and possibly the team that works there is young too and really cool. Don't throw any options out just yet, and keep as many open as you can for as long as you can.

Do you prefer animals or books? Where are you going to use your employee discount more? Does your husband or wife like the smell of parents or leather bindings?

I would work in Barnes and Noble because although animals can be nice, the people that own them are mostly nuts, myself included. Books are very cut and dried and I doubt you would slip on dog urine in the aisle of B&N.

barnes and noble would be my choice because you get to meet many smart people, employee discount, and you can learn many new things from books.
