I don't know if they actually buy it but I do know that there is a charitable organization that takes it as a donation for children's wigs. Edit: Thanks I couldn't remember the name.

YES they DO buy human hair. These particular REAL wigs are much more expenisve, though worth it. They look more real, as well feel more real. Real hair is common in cosmetic purpouses as well as wigs made for chemo patients. These wigs are only sold in special hair care facilitieswebsites.

Yes, they do. Human hair is used in wigs and extensions. It looks more realistic (well, it IS real), but synthetic wigs are easier to take care of.
