It WAS my second but now it is my primary. I grew up speaking French but a move to the US changed all that:-)

Yes. I started to read English in my middle school. That was the way most Koreans learned the language at that time. I have tried to learn spoken English ever since, and I finally picked it up after my stay in the U.S. for three years and after years of training after coming back to my country, Korea. It took me the whole lifetime to learn English as a second language.

It used to be my second, as i grew up speaking fluent gaelic, but now english is my primary language and i only speak gaelic when i go home to scotland or when i want to swear at people and they have no clue what im saying

No, it's my first and only. I took 3 years of French in high school but don't remember a thing about it! If I could learn a second language I'd choose Spanish.
