    A lot of them are. I dont have concrete statistics, but I think it is a lot higher than people think. Just from personal experiences, I have met a lot of women and men that are virgins, but do not openly talk about it because of peer opinions. There are a lot of people that have a more traditional train of thought and some talk about it and are comfortable with it, but some dont, but just act the part in society.
